My research has been focusing on the public good and welfare. With immense difficulties from the illicit institutional operations, my research activities and living costs have mainly been supported by my retired parents’ thin pensions and some of my part time earnings.
Contributed by the financial constraints, my publishing policy has been with: 1) low-cost open access publication choices; 2) subscription-based publications; 3) open access publishers with appropriate full waiver choices; 4) open access publishers with the same value orientations and provides full waivers without extra costs; 5) books of work collection.
While contributions in the public interests can be managed in some relatively low costs, the sustainability in making scientific publications not in the sole interests of politics and private gains and for the values of science itself is difficult. An open pool for support is being considered and further information will be updated accordingly. As far as I hope to make the articles of public interests more accessible to the public, book purchases will still help and support the research sustainability.
